What is a sitemap ?

The sitemap

A site map is an XML file containing links to every important page of a website. It is an extremely useful tool for websites with a large amount of content. This file acts as a map showing how to navigate to specific locations on the site.

The sitemap a list that maps every corner of a website that you want to see indexed by search engines. A plan therefore offers complete control over the elements that can be displayed in the search results.

Search engines use the site map to browse the entire site and ensure that no important pages are excluded from their index. All important pages are thus classified in the search engine results.
