What is an error page?

When your site generates an error, such as a 404 error, it produces an error page to tell the visitor what type of problem occurred.
The basic error pages are:

400 (Incorrect request)
401 (Authorization required)
403 (Prohibited)
404 (Not found)
500 (Server internal error)

On Ex2, these error messages are shown on blank blank pages.
However, you can edit these pages to add your own brand or special information to help your visitors find their way back.

How can I customize my error pages?

To create a custom page for errors generated by your site, connect to cPanel and click Error pages in the advanced section.

Select the domain or subdomain for which you want to manage the error pages and click the error page you want to edit.  Insert your own custom page code (HTML or SHTML). Changes will be applied after clicking Save.

No problem If you use a design program like Sitebuilder, publish the page in question on your site.  Then visit this page on your browser, and look at the source code (CTRL-U under Chrome).  Copy all the code from this window (right click, select all the code, right click, copy) and now you can paste this HTML into the area described above in your cPanel.

Don’t forget to delete the page published on your site in order to copy the source code.
