What is Uptime?

Uptime or availability rate of web hosting

Uptime is the measure of the ratio of time a server is available over a given period of time. This data is normally measured in percentages.

A high percentage of uptime generally indicates that a server is reliable. This means that your website will be available to users at all times.

The uptime of your hosting plan should be as close as possible to 100%. Each percentage point represents 87 hours of interruption per year, so better to aim for more than 99%.

For example, Ex2 guarantees you an uptime rate of 99.5% or better. In general, this rate is rather around 99.9%, which represents less than 9 hours of service interruption per year.

Note that our "interruptions" are usually short scheduled cuts for updates to various software or security measures, rather than service outages.
