How to transfer your emails to Ex2 ?

Here are the options to transfer your email to Ex2

Option: 1 (If you want to change the server names at your current registrar to wait for the domain transfer time).

Order the package from our site by requesting the transfer of the domain name.

In the next step, you will be asked for a transfer key. At this point, determine whether the transfer is urgent or not. A domain transfer takes an average of 7 to 10 days, according to the registrar with whom the domain is located. If you do not want to wait 7-10 days, enter an incorrect transfer key in the order form (for example: 12345).

This allows you to finalize the order and proceed to the next steps. Attention, as the domain is not transferred, you will have to modify the server names on the domain in order to point to your Ex2 hosting. Domain score information will be sent in your welcome email after ordering.

Upon receipt of payment, account activation is automatic. You will receive CPanel accesses via email. These accesses can be found in the email entitled "*Information about your new hosting package*".

Log into cPanel using email access (or directly from your customer account).

In this step, you need to re-create the same mailboxes in your cPanel panel. If possible, we recommend using the same password as your old boxes to simplify this procedure.

Export of existing mailboxes now required: 2 possible options

Thunderbird:

- You need to configure existing boxes at Gmail in email software like thunderbird (if not already done). I recommend thunderbird since it is free. You need to configure the boxes in Imap.
- When the boxes are all in the same thunderbird, you install this extension: <https://addons.thunderbird.net/en/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools-ng/? src=search>
- Then you open the Extension in thunderbird and export all the boxes to a file on the computer.

Outlook:

- If you are using Outlook, you need to set up the boxes as Imap. Here is a guide to set up the imap boxes in Outlook:
- When the boxes are all in the same outlook, you will need to export the boxes
- Since you have chosen to point the domain here via the server names, this is the time to change the server names on the domain. It will take a few hours to spread. You can follow the spread here: <https://www.whatsmydns.net/>
- Once the propagation is complete, you will need to reconfigure the mailboxes in Outlook or Thunderbird using the appropriate guide:

9 . As soon as the boxes are reconfigured, they will be empty. This is the time to re-import the content using the same tool you used to export it.

10 . Import may take some time.

11 . If you then wish to transfer the domain management, you will have to open a ticket and we will then adjust your order. We can start the domain management transfer but during the transfer, the domain will keep the server names that you set up.

Option 2: Domain transfer directly:

The package must be ordered from our site by requesting the transfer of the domain name. During the next step, a transfer key will be requested. You must then unlock the domain at your current registrar and obtain the transfer key. Attention, the transfer of a domain takes on average 7 to 10 days.

You will then have to wait for the transfer to complete before doing the next steps, otherwise, you may lose the content that arrived on your box in the meantime. An email will be sent at the end of the domain transfer.

Now that the transfer is complete, you can start the box migration. When purchasing, you received CPanel accesses by email. These accesses can be found in the email: Information about your new hosting package. You must then connect to the cPanel using the email accesses.

3 . Then create the same mailboxes in your cPanel panel here. If possible, I recommend that you use the same password as before.
