How to stop your Ex2 emails from going to spam

If recipients find your emails in their spam folder, the cause is almost always authentication or reputation — not the Ex2 mail server itself. Work through these in order.

  1. Verify SPF, DKIM and DMARC. In cPanel, open Email Deliverability and check your domain. SPF and DKIM records are normally added automatically — if any shows as invalid, use the Install the suggested record button. If your DNS is managed outside Ex2 (e.g. Cloudflare), copy the suggested TXT records there manually. This single step fixes most deliverability problems.
  2. Send from a real address. Use a proper "From" name and address (e.g. contact@yourdomain.com). Avoid noreply@ for anything you want people to read and reply to.
  3. Don't send bulk mail from shared hosting. Newsletters or campaigns sent from a shared server get flagged quickly. Use a dedicated sending service (Mailchimp, Brevo, etc.) for bulk mail and authenticate your domain with it.
  4. Check the server's reputation if problems persist. Look up Ex2's mail server IP on MXToolbox's blacklist checker. If it is listed, open a ticket with Ex2 support — they handle delisting on shared servers.
  5. Test and ask for help. Send a test to mail-tester.com and fix every red item in its report. Ask a few recipients to mark your message as "Not spam" — mailbox providers learn from that signal.
