How to configure your email in cPanel?

Configuring your email in cPanel:

Here is the configuration to use for your messaging software (obviously, you have to replace "yourwebsite.com" by your domain name).

Create your email accounts in the cPanel management panel in the Email account section.
The username is the email address. (It may happen that your messaging software does not accept the mailbox as an identifier, in this case, you must replace the @ by a + in the user (Example: admin + yourwebsite.com))
POP3 server (reception): yourdomainname.com Port: 110
IMAP server (reception): yourdomainname.com Port: 143
SMTP server (sending): yourdomainname.com Port: 25 (Port 25 may not work on your network, then port 26 must be used)

If you want to use the messaging securely (under SSL certificate), here are the steps to follow:

Create your email accounts in the cPanel management panel in the Email account section.
The username is the email address. (It may happen that your messaging software does not accept the mailbox as an identifier, in this case, you must replace the @ by a + in the user (Example: admin + yourwebsite.com)
POP server (reception): mail.yourdomainname.com Port: 995
IMAP server (reception): mail.yourdomainname.com Port: 993
SMTP server (sending): mail.yourdomainname.com Port: 465 (It may happen that port 465 does not work, you can use the alternative port for secure smtp 587)

Remember to enable SMTP authentication when setting up the outgoing mail server.

You can also check your emails directly online:
