How to create a .htaccess file?

Steps to create and upload a .htaccess file

You can create a file . htaccess with any text editor (Notepad, MS Word, etc.).

You must aboslutely name the file exactly .htaccess otherwise it won't work. It is necessary to include a dot in front of the name to hide the file.

Use your favorite text editor, create a file named .htaccess on your desktop or any other local folder.

Add the desired text commands to the file, then upload it using an FTP client.

Once you have established the FTP connection, you will simply need to drag and drop the newly created file from your computer to the desired folder on your hosting space.
