How to add a new page to a WordPress site?
Adding pages is similar to adding posts in WordPress. Pages are static content and often do not change its displayed information.
To get started, log in to your WordPress administrator account.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to the Pages» Add New section.
You will then be redirected to the creation page specific to your editor. By default, WordPress uses the Gutenberg block editor for page design. However, depending on your theme and personal preferences, you can also use editors like Elementor or Divi. In this tutorial, we will see how to create your page with Gutenberg.
After starting the creation process, you should arrive on your empty page, looking like this:
Of course, you must first enter the title you want to assign to the page.
Then click the + button to add a new content block. You will see options appear, related to the choice of block type to add.
You can choose from the options presented, or click Browse All at the bottom of the window to see more choices. You will then see a sidebar appear, offering you a wide variety of block types.
Simply insert the desired blocks at the appropriate locations to design your page.
By default, content blocks are inserted one above the other. However, you can place them side-by-side if you wish.
To do this, you must select a column block from the proposed blocks. You will then see configuration options available to you. These allow you to define the space allocated to each element.
You can design your page according to the design you want. Simply place the blocks, and edit them to include your content. You can add as many blocks as you need. The result should look a bit like this (but more complete):
Once you are satisfied with your page, it is time to save it. To do this, you will find two options in the sidebar at the top of the page.
You can save it as a draft, which saves it without making it accessible to visitors. You can also choose the Publish, making it immediately available to visitors and search engines.
