Connecting Your Domain to Wix via DNS (Pointing Method)

Step 1: Access the DNS Management Interface

  1. Log in to your EX2’s Client Area.
  2. Go to My Domains and select the domain you want to manage (e.g.,mathtestex2.eu).
  3. Click on the three dots next to the domain and select Manage Domain.

  1. On the Domain Overview page, click on DNS Management.

Step 2: Add A Records for Wix Website Hosting

Wix requires multiple A records for redundancy and load balancing. Remove any existing A records before adding these.

@ A 185.230.63.107

@ A 185.230.63.186

These IPs ensure your root domain (example.com) points correctly to Wix.

Step 3: Add a CNAME Record for www

www CNAME www.wixdns.net

This ensures that your domain's www version (e.g., www.example.com) redirects correctly

to your Wix site.

Step 4: Save the Changes

  1. Click Save or Apply in the DNS manager.
  2. Wait for DNS propagation – this may take up to 24 hours.

Step 5: Verify Connection in Wix

  1. Log in to your Wix account.
  2. Go to Domains > Verify Connection.
  3. Wix will automatically check your DNS settings.
  4. Once verified, your Wix site will go live with your custom domain.

Step 6: Verify DNS Changes

Use external tools like:

MXToolbox

WhatsMyDNS

to confirm the propagation of A and CNAME records.

By completing these steps, your domain will correctly point to your Wix website using the

pointing method.
