The authorization code prevents unauthorized third parties from acquiring your domain. You need it to approve (allow) the transfer of domain to a new provider.

You can get the EPP code on Squarespace by following these steps:

• Sign in to your Squarespace account.
• Open the Home menu in Squarespace and navigate to the Settings.
• From the Settings menu, go to the Domain Names section.
• Select the domain you want to transfer to access its options.
• In this window, you can uncheck the option Lock Domain. This will make your domain accessible for transfer.
• Then click the Get Authorization Code button to request an EPP transfer code from Squarespace.
• You will receive an email in the next few minutes with your authorization code and a confirmation request.
• To speed up the process and avoid blocking, you can confirm your transfer request. A link to this effect should be included in the message containing the transfer code.
