# Limits of domain names transfers

If you bought a domain name for less than 60 days, you cannot unlock it before this deadline. 

This deadline for transferring a domain name is enforced by [ICANN](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-icann-qqz8xy/?bust=1784826291757), and therefore applies to all domain name registrars.
