# Here's how to redirect a subdomain to an external URL

2. In the Domains section of [cPanel](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-cpanel-vq3toz/?bust=1784817968076), click the Domains icon.

3. To the right of the subdomain you want to edit, click the Manage button.

4. From the menu on the right of the window, click Modify the redirects.

5. Enter the redirect settings you want to use and click Add.

You should then see a success message informing you that the redirect has been successfully created have been successfully modified.
