# You can get the [EPP code](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-an-epp-code-and-how-to-use-it-1xkpppz/?bust=1676465835060) from Hostgator using the following steps:

*   Log into your Billing Portal.
*   Click the Domains tab from the left-hand side menu.
*   Click on the name of the domain for which you wish to retrieve the EPP Key.
*   If you move your mouse over the icons on the left-hand side, it will expand a list of configuration options for your domain.
*   From the left hand side, select Domain Locking.
*   Toggle locking to Locking OFF, the click Save Domain Locking.
*   Your EPP code will now be visible to copy.
