# How to get an EPP transfer code from Ex2 ?

If you want to [transfer a domain name](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-a-domain-name-transfer-ou9bqm/?bust=1784568390007), you will need the IPS transfer authorization code. This can be obtained from your Ex2 client area.

## Obtaining an EPP transfer code from Ex2

To obtain a domain transfer code, you must first [login to your account](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/how-do-i-log-in-to-my-ex2-account-1cxgxuy/?bust=1677506380549) in the Ex2 client area.

In the menu to the left of the interface of your client space, click Domains.

You will then be redirected to a list of all your domains registered with Ex2. To the right of the domain you want to transfer, click the **...** to open the drop-down menu and select **Manage Domain**.

This will bring you to the domain management page. In the menu on the right of the page, click on the **Get EPP Code** option.

The transfer code should then be emailed to you and a message confirming the success of the shipment should appear.
