# How to delete a folder or a file with cPanel's File Manager ?

# Here's how to edit file in the cPanel File Manager

2. In the [cPanel](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-cpanel-vq3toz/?bust=1784206091492) Files section, click on [File Manager](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-the-cpanel-file-manager-1063319/?bust=1783628187343) Icon.

3. Navigate to the directory where your file is located.

4. Right-click the file you want to delete and select the **Delete** option.

5. A window will pop up asking you to confirm the transaction by clicking the **Confirm** button.

The file or folder should then be deleted successfully.
