# How to Connect Your Domain to Shopify

To connect the domain you have purchased at EX2 to your online store at Shopify, all you need to do is update the [DNS](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-the-domain-name-system-or-dns-oen40o/?bust=1784819338957) records of the domain as explained in your Shopify account. 


This includes creating an [A record](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-an-a-record-eaqi9i/?bust=1784819874397) for the domain  name  with value 23.227.38.65 and a [CNAME](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-a-cname-record-10tdlub/?bust=1784819874395) record for www with value [__shops.myshopify.com__](http://shops.myshopify.com)

This can be done from the DNS Management zone in your client area.


**Step 1: Access the DNS Management Interface**

1. Log in to your [Client Area](https://www.ex2.com/clients/).

2. Navigate to My Domains.

3. Locate the domain name you wish to manage.

4. Click on the three dots (⋮) next to the domain and select Manage Domain.

5. On the **Domain Overview** page, click **DNS Management **from the available options..

 You will be redirected to the DNS Zone Editor interface, where you can view and modify DNS records for your domain.


**Step 2: Add a DNS Record**

To create a new record, click **Add row**.

Create an A record.

Name: [__example.com__](http://example.com) (domain name)
Value: 23.227.38.65
TTL: 3600

Create a CNAME record

Name: [__www.example.com__](http://www.example.com)
Value: [__shops.myshopify.com__](http://shops.myshopify.com)
TTL: 3600

**Step 3: Verify Your Domain in Shopify**

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.

2. Go to Settings → Domains → Connect existing domain.

3. Enter your domain name (e.g., example.com) and click Next.

4. Shopify will check your DNS records automatically.

1. Once verified, Shopify will confirm that your domain is successfully connected.
