# How to add an A Record via cPanel?

## The steps to add an A Record in cPanel

1. [Log in to your cPanel](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/how-to-log-in-to-my-cpanel-account-xyoqm0/?bust=1676305236426).
  
2. In the Domains section of the [cPanel control panel](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-cpanel-vq3toz/?bust=1784206091492), click the **Domains** icon.

3. You will see a list of your domains displayed. To the right of the one you want to create an [A record](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-an-a-record-eaqi9i/?bust=1783450361302), click the **Manage** button.

4. To the right of your domain management interface, you will find a menu. In it, select the **Modify The Zone** option.

5. You will then find yourself in the DNS Zone editor. On the right of your screen, click the Add Record button.

6. Set the settings for your new A record by filling in the boxes and clicking **Save Records**.

7. Your new A record will then be added to your record list.
