# How to Access DNS Management in the Client Area

DNS records can be managed directly from the Client Area, even when the domain is not associated with a hosting service..

**Step 1: Check DNS Management Availability**

During the domain registration process, if you selected the DNS Management option, you will have access to the DNS Zone Editor from your Client Area.

**Step 2: Access the DNS Management Interface**

1. Log in to your [Client Area](https://www.ex2.com/clients/).

2. Navigate to My Domains.

3. Locate the domain name you wish to manage.

4. Click on the three dots (⋮) next to the domain and select Manage Domain.

###### Step 3: Open the DNS Management Section

Once you’re on the **Domain Overview** page:

1. Click on [DNS](https://help.ex2.com/en/article/what-is-the-domain-name-system-or-dns-oen40o/?bust=1784819338957) **Management** from the available options.

2. You will be redirected to the DNS Zone Editor interface, where you can view and modify DNS records for your domain.

**Step 4: Add or Modify DNS Records**


1. Click on Add row to create a new record.

2. Enter the required details such as Name, TTL, Type, and Value.

3. Choose the record type (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.) by clicking the Type field.

4. Save your changes once completed.


Please note that DNS changes may take up to **24 hours** to propagate globally. You can check the status of your DNS propagation using tools like [__DNSchecker__](https://dnschecker.org/)
